US Central Command Network Operations Center

US Central Command, Tampa, FL

Military Design and Installation

For this critical operation, our teams were tasked with the design and install of a Network Operations Center in the U.S. Central Command headquarters. This installation would occur during a post 9/11 environment, and it was particularly essential that this high-security military environment could be enhanced. The Center required both secure and non-secure networks to facilitate communications during Operation Enduring Freedom, and had to be installed without interrupting or distracting from crucial day-to-day operations.

Our design, engineering and installation teams successfully integrated the control room with a highly-operational Barco 2x3 rear projection video wall, equipped with the capabilities to manage and display multiple computer and video sources. The system also allows for connectivity with additional 42" Sony plasma displays strategically located throughout the Network Operations Center. Despite its compact size, the system monitors and controls all operations within the facility. To minimize the disruptions of critical operations, much of the design, engineering and testing was done offsite.

Equipment Highlights:

42" plasma displays; display interfaces; 2x3 rear projection video wall; DVD player; digital video scaler; 12x8 matrix switchers
