AVI-SPL is dedicated to providing technically sound, well-integrated and user-friendly solutions for our clients' unique requirements. To that end, AVI-SPL utilizes an eight-step process, which ensures seamless communication and transition from project conception to project completion.
phase I - consultation
The consultation process is the foundation of the system design and capabilities. An interview will be conducted to discuss your technical requirements. This will allow us to adequately provide you with a recommendation. We can conduct the interview via phone, web meeting, in person or via email.
phase II - rough order of magnitude
During this phase, the information acquired during the consultation is developed into a technically sound and functional system design including the recommended equipment, hardware and software. This rough order of magnitude (ROM) is meant to act as a tool for auditing our comprehension of your needs as well as a rough dollar cost estimate for budgeting purposes. This document will contain your requirements as stated to us, as well as a budgetary figure within a 10-15% variance.
phase III - site visit and final analysis
Once the ROM has been received, we will follow up to confirm that we have addressed the necessary requirements and that the budgetary and time frame recommendation meet your needs. Next, we will schedule an in-person meeting to introduce our teams. This will include a site visit to detail any constraints or requirements that may have been overlooked in the initial recommendation. We will require an electronic copy of your floor plans at this stage.
phase IV - firm, fixed-price proposal
Once the meeting and site visit have been completed, we will submit a firm fixed price proposal. This proposal will contain the final scope of work and investment necessary to deliver your complete control room solution. This document will serve as the contract once AVI-SPL is chosen as your integrator.
phase V - contract execution
This stage is vital to the success of the project, and will determine the project timeline. The initiation of the project timeline is contingent on an expeditious contract execution process. AVI-SPL will work closely with your purchasing and contracting officers to ensure that our contract meets your organization's requirements.
phase VI - project execution
AVI-SPL is contracted with your organization, and the project clock starts. During this phase, delivery lead times will be established and a dedicated project manager will coordinate the implementation process.
AVI-SPL's professional field integration team will install your system in a manner that exceeds industry standards. Our industry trained integration team will install all components, cables and hardware necessary to support the specified system. At the end of each day's work, the area in which AVI-SPL worked will be left in a clean and orderly state.
Upon completion of the physical installation, the Project Manager along with the field integration team will perform functionality tests on the entire system. It is at this point that final adjustments are made to ensure optimum performance of each component and the system as a whole.
phase VII - training and documentation
Training and documentation will provide operational and maintenance personnel with an understanding of daily system use. Training will consist of instruction and hands-on experience with the system. Documentation will include as built diagrams and manufacturers equipment manuals, which will be assembled and delivered on the day of training. Optional documentation includes a custom written operational manual.
phase VIII - warranty and service
All manufacturer warrantees will be honored on installed equipment. AVI-SPL is proud to offer Service Level Agreements to complement standard manufacturer warrantees.
